Hillside entertains...... Monday, 21st July
21 Captains attending the Hillside Cobra Day on 21st July.
The weather was a very pleasant 22 C with no rain forecast again! Excellent conditions for playing golf.
Lunch was served in the upstairs function room which consisted of soup and sandwiches.
Andrew Killeen, the host Captain gave all present a small gift bag, which included - tees, pitch mark repairer, ball marker, Hillside badge and Cobra keyring.
The competition was a Texas scramble off the yellow tees with each team requiring 3 drives per person. As it was a medal comp, would that have benefitted our secretary, Paul Robley and his team - was it too generous? Read on to find out......
There was also nearest the pin on holes 4 and 16.
The teams were:
Group 1: Andy Killeen, Ronnie Samuel & Ken Gibson
Group 2: Simon Harwood, Tony Davies & John Jones

Group 4: Dave Blake, Keith Riley & Ronnie Turner
Group 5: Mike Robertson, Martyn Green & Joe Cain
Group 6: Paul Evans, Vic Guney & Dave Pennington

A great day was enjoyed by all with the added bonus of playing off the championship tees on holes 9 & 17.
